On 16 June 2005 the Rockall Ho! 2005 team successfully assaulted the world's remotest islet, capping four years' planning and fundraising with the triumphant raising of the flag of the Peoples' Republic of Rockall atop the sacred isle.
The adventure - sponsored by UK satire site The Rockall Times and supported by the voluntary team members - represented the ultimate North Atlantic challenge. You can find some splendid pictures and details of the conquest of Rockall right here:
