The Rockefeller Medical Library at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) was established in 1935 and is one of the leading neurological research resources in the world. Seventy three years after it first opened, and not surprisingly, the library is now in need of major refurbishment.

This project aims to provide a new, updated and revitalised multifunctional space and new study facilities in the Library, to digitise and provide electronic access to parts of the archive, provide a home for the archives and artefacts that are currently hidden and unexplored, and secure the future of these unique collections on site at Queen Square. These are currently at risk of being lost, stolen, damaged or moved off site due to lack of appropriate space and facilities.

The National Hospital Development Foundation (NHDF) is the charity dedicated to raising funds for NHNN. NHDF has designated £250,000 of funds towards this project and has also committed to raise a further £250,000 of the £1 million budget.

Your donation will support the clinical, research and educational needs of the UCL Institute of Neurology, The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and also the wider UCL, UCLH and research communities.
