Rock of Ages exists because Isaac Mwewe, a young Zambian pastor, had a vision to provide disadvantaged children with pre-primary education, to enable them to qualify for Government primary school.
Latest News: December 2011: 25 Children accepted into Government Primary School!
All 25 children in the Reception Class have just been accepted into Grade One at local Government-run primary schools, thanks to the teaching in literacy and numeracy they have received at Rock of Ages. Over 90 children have recently been attending Rock of Ages so that we have had to now limit the intake to those aged 3 and over. Other news: Pastor Isaac, project co-ordinator, married Deborah on 10 December in Kitwe!
Please help us to continue to help him help them! Funds are needed now for:
· Tables and benches
· Teaching materials and equipment
· Teachers’ wages and training
· Building a toilet
· in the longer term, providing a training facility for adults to make saleable goods to enable the project to become self-sustaining.
