I will be entering the 1 mile British Gas Swim, which is to be held at Salford Keys on the 15th May

The reason for this challenge is to raise money for Macdonald House at Alder Hey Hospital, which is an organisation solely dependant on charities for day to day running.

I have chosen to raise money for this charity because my nephew Max Beaumont stayed here whilst undergoing numerous complex open heart operations at Alder Hey Hospital.

What MacDonald House do is provide comfortable accomodation, free of charge for as long as it takes for the parents, or family, of children who have critical illnesses ranging from heart surgery to leukaemia.
