Thanks for visiting my fundraising page for running the London Marathon.

Admittedly, at the minute I'm more like "Forest Lump" than "Forest Gump" in training ...and yes I have seen the film "Run fat boy, Run!"  but I'll be there on the 26th April being chased by a man in a diving suit past Big Ben!!!  Kerry Crawford and I have decided to raise money for the National Society of Epilepsy.

Julie's cousin, Karl and wife Clair's second son Ross was born in May 2008.  Unfortunately he has a rare and as yet undiagnosed form of epilepsy.  The doctors cannot give us much indication of what the short or long term future holds for Ross, but so far it would appear that his mental development will be very limited.

The whole area of epilepsy, and especially neurological problems in infants, is relatively young and underdeveloped. As a result there is a huge need for research, and therefore funding. That’s why I decided to raise some money for NSE.

The money raised for NSE will be used to fund research into epilepsy and, you never know, may lead to a breakthrough which will help Ross.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: National Society for Epilepsy gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
