With less than 650 Rothschild's giraffe remaining in the wild, there has never been a more crucial time to work towards saving this giraffe sub-species from extinction. They have already been declared extinct across most of their former range and now only exist in a few small isolated populations in Uganda (1 population) and Kenya (11 populations). The Rothschild's giraffe has just been declared Endangered by the IUCN and yet we know very little about its ecology and behaviour in the wild.
The Rothschild's Giraffe Project (www.girafferesearch.com) is working with the Giraffe Conservation Foundation to help save these animals from extinction and to ensure they have a future in the wild.
Any contribution - however great or small - would be gratefully received. Your donation will help support research into this highly Endangered giraffe subspecies and will help secure a future for the Rothschild's giraffe in the wild.
Please help us conserve this beautiful and elegant animal!
