My story

We are embarking on a tandem 24h row (erg) from noon on Saturday March 10th through to noon Sunday March 11th in support of Cancer Research UK, on King's Parade, in front of King's College, Cambridge.

During the summer one of the coxes at King's College Boat Club, Kate McCutcheon, was unfortunately diagnosed with a brain tumour.  As a continuation of the support shown by the community at college we have put together this challenge to further fundraise and also raise awareness.  Ildar and I chose the rowing challenge as an event that would push us both to our limits.  We both lost parents to cancer in our teen years and the cause is therefore one close to our hearts.

We have secured an exclusive location for the event, the front of King's college, so should hopefully attract a lot of attention on the day.  In addition to the tandem effort we will be joined by the King's College Boat Club (KCBC) who will be rowing a combined effort alongside us as a show of support.

Please come and support us! Josh and Ildar
