RSVP09: ROUND SCOTLAND VISITING POLICE (HEADQUARTERS) 2009
On Monday 20 April 2009, Constables Kevin Skivington and Jamie MacMillan of Grampian Police are to commence a charity cycle around Scotland. The funds raised will be shared between MacMillan Cancer Research and Cerebal Palsy.
They will cycle under the Banner RSVP09: Round Scotland Visiting Police (Headquarters) 2009, and with your agreement, their intention is to visit the Headquarters of all Scottish Police Forces and Tulliallan en-route.
Kevin chose the two charities mentioned as, prior to passing away in July 2008, his father spent many enjoyable days at The Oaks Palliative Day Care Centre, Elgin, during his battle against cancer and also shortly before Christmas 2008, Kevin and his wife Mairi were told their son Charlie had Cerebral Palsy. In both cases the support and care shown by staff has been amazing however as with all charities they rely on donations to assist with their day to day running.
