Hello all,
Many of you will be surprised to hear that I am going to attempt to run the half marathon in October. I know that this is a ridiculous and rather insane idea but then I am a bit ridiculous and insane so I guess it's fitting.
I shall be training as much as possible between now and October, attempting a 5k and a 10k in preparation and generally running everywhere in a Forest Gump stylee, even up and down hills in Sri Lanka during the summer.
Did I mention that I hate running? Well I am hoping to get over that!
Anyway, not only is this for the good cause of me getting fit but I am also going to hopefully raise some funds for Education For Choice, the organisation I work for. Education For Choice works with young people, professionals and the media to dispel myths and misinformation, to facilitate open and constructive discussion and to ensure that no young person is denied their right to information, advice and support surrounding pregnancy prevention, decision making and abortion.
