Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I will be travelling over to Switzerland on May 10th to run the Geneva Half Marathon to raise money for Neurocare.

Neurocare is a groundbreaking local charity, which funds high tech equipment from all over the world and brings it  to the Neurosciences Department at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield . The equipment helps save and improve the lives of patients with a range of debilitating neurological conditions, including brain tumours, strokes, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Motor Neurone Disease and Epilepsy. The hospital is a centre of excellence. More information can be found at - www.neurocare.org.uk

I'm doing this on the back of a promise made during my wedding speech to my best man. It also follows on from some excellent fund raising for the charity in the past few years. As those who know me I am not a regular runner so it makes this event extra special.

I'm aware (thanks to Mr Brown) that there is a credit crunch going on and there's not much money knocking about. Please give as much as you think me doing 13.1 miles of pure pain is worth... £2, £3..... anything.

On the day, I will be fortunate to be running with some experienced athletes in the form of the brothers Heseltine (Steve and Mike) and Rob Lindsay. So please chip in for them too.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Neurocare gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you for your support, I will need all the help I can get........

I will sponsor you a tenner to do something genuinely unpleasant/unhealthy. What about some competetive eating to get the weight back on? Donation by James Busta on 05/06/09
