Story

Kellie Shirley works as an actress. Her work includes 'The Office  Xmas Special', 3-part BBC drama 'Twenty-Thousand Streets Under the Sky', 'Eastenders', and the films 'Wimbledon', 'Venus' and horror flick 'The Sick House' due to be released next year, along with 'The  Grind'.

Kellie became involved with the Anthony Nolan Trust a few months ago when they asked her to run the London Marathon. Forgetting it was 26 miles, she said yes!

"The Anthony Nolan Trust is an inspirational and committed charity, helping thousands of men, women and children who have been affected by Leukaemia. Every year in the UK alone 24,000 children and adults are diagnosed with Leukaemia - a terrible form of cancer."

The campaign Kellie is involved with focuses on encouraging more men between the ages of 18-40 (because they are the best donors, but it's important for as many women to become donors too) from all ethnic backgrounds to register as bone marrow donors.

"FIVE MINUTES OUT OF YOUR LIFE TO BECOME A DONOR, COULD SAVE SOMEONE ELSE'S - HOW FANTASTIC IS THAT!"

Kellie has just started training with professional runner, Tim Rogers, and although she exercises most days through dancing and gym classes, she is finding running a challenge! Especially fitting in training sessions around learning lines and her hectic filming schedule!

The London Marathon is in April 2007, and I would love it if you could sponsor me. All the donations go directly to the Anthony Nolan Trust." The site is simple, fast and secure, and if you are a UK tax payer, an extra 28% in tax is added to your gift, at no extra cost to you.

It's a truly worthwhile charity that works towards saving the lives of those who need bone marrow transplants. PLEASE PLEASE SPONSOR ME!!
