Fundraising should reach around &pound;2100 which is staggering. I simply cannot put into words what your support means, not just to me but even more so to Guy's hospital. Thank you to each and every one of you whether you donated 10p or &pound;10.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">As you know I ran the London Marathon on 22nd April to raise this money, so here are some stats you may like to know:</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="color: #000080;"><strong><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">I completed the 26.2 miles in 4 hours 32 minutes and 46 seconds!</span></span></strong></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="color: #ff6600;"><strong><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">My average speed was 9.3kmph / 5.8mph!</span></span></strong></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="color: #000080;"><strong><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">When the female winner Mary Keitany crossed the finish line I was at mile 13 (only half way)!</span></span></strong></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="color: #ff6600;"><strong><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">When the male winner Wilson Kipsang crossed the finish line I was only at mile 10! </span></span></strong></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="color: #000080;"><strong><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">In the final 4.5 miles of the race, I overtook 2059 runners, and only 10 overtook me!</span></span></strong></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="color: #ff6600;"><strong><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">My race position was 19335th out of 36701 runners!</span></span></strong></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><strong><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;"> </span></span></strong></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><strong><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Still haven't donated??</span></span></strong></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Please don't think for a second that because we have reached the target on this page that kidney disease is a thing of the past. Every pound counts so if you did not get a chance to donate before the Marathon and would still like to please do not hesitate. </span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Why should you donate to Guy&rsquo;s I hear you ask? The reason is simple, they saved my Dad&rsquo;s life 20 years ago when he needed a donor kidney, and saving lives is something that they do every day at Guys. </span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">It is a magnificent charity, and the money that you so generously part with will go towards new equipment, and help support patients with kidney disease &ndash; a very worthy cause indeed!</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Thank you!</span></span></p>
