I am running this year's Flora London Marathon in memory of Grant.
Since December we have found a charity called Epilepsy Bereaved (www.sudep.org) that provides support to families that are affected by the death of someone close to them as a reult of SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy). The charity also works hard to raise awareness and try to reduce the number of Epilepsy-related deaths. They are currently undertaking extensive research to identify young adults, like Grant, that are at risk. They are a small charity that was started in 1995 by 5 mothers who had lost children in this way. Unfortunately, they weren't awarded any guaranteed places in this year's London marathon so we know that anything we can raise will be so very gratefully received.
If you sponsor me through this website the funds will be transferred directly to Epilepsy Bereaved. They will also receive 25% in Gift Aid plus a 3% supplement from Justgiving.

Update (8th Apr - Grant's Birthday): I have upped our target to 2500 pounds. This is a result of everyone's generous donations so far. Hopefully, we can hit this new target by marathon day, 26th Apr. Thank you.
Update (24th Apr): 2 days to go and I am putting my feet up now until the big day. If you will be watching out for me my race number is 32940. I'll be wearing a red and white vest with 'Colin' on the front and 'Running for Grant' on the back. Update (27th Apr): Yesterday was a great day and I completed the 26.2 miles in 2hrs and 54mins, which was a personal best for me. I'd like to thank everyone for their support; it is greatly appreciated by us as a family and Epilepsy Bereaved. We hope that Grant's memory has succeeded in, and will continue to, raise awareness of SUDEP.
