Birmingham Children's Hospital provides a wide range of general and specialist health services to children and adolescents in the West Midlands and beyond. The hospital enjoys a national and international reputation in areas including liver transplantation, cardiac surgery and neonatal surgery. Please help it continue to improve children's lives.

Update:  Well, they did it!  A huge pat on the back to them all, they were absolutely amazing.  And we've managed to smash the target which is fantastic - but don't let that put you off donating if you've still not, every penny counts and will be gratefully received by the hospital. 

So, anyone fancy doing the London then???

We're running the Birmingham Half Marathon on Sunday 26th October to raise money for Birmingham Children's Hospital. 

The money raised will in some way say thank you for the amazing care received by Luis Mayes during his 3 month stay at BCH.  Luis was born with a congenital heart defect and underwent open heart surgery when he was just 3 days old.  He is now a fighting fit nearly toddling toddler (give or take a trachy or two!).  The money we raise will secure facilities and equipment to help them care for other poorly children.

We've set up this page to make sponsoring us easier. It’s totally secure and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, they add 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, to your donation.

So please sponsor us... pretty, pretty please.  13.1 miles is a long way especially for the aged and unfit amongst us (which is all of us apart from Penny & Charlotte!).
