Story
In April 2012 I got a phone call I will never forget. Jen rang me at work to tell me that she had to go straight to Barnsley Hospital because they had found cancer. She was later diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (Blood Cancer).
As you can imagine the last 8 months have been extremely difficult. However, throughout it all Jen has been a true inspiration. Anybody who knows Jen well knows that she is stubborn and cant be beat and that is exactly how she has gone through this challenge!! Throughout all the chemo and all the rubbish stuff she hasn’t moaned or complained. I really don’t know how she has done it! She is a star and I love her so much.
Thankfully, last week we were given the excellent news that Jen has been given the all clear! What a great start to the year.
There are so many people to thank. Our friends and family have been fantastic! Legends!
The doctors and nurses are Barnsley Hospital have been superb. Those guys on Ward 24 deserve a medal!
Now onto the fundraising bit!
While going through treatment Jen has been going to Barnsley Hospice once a week. There she has met a group of ladies all going through or have gone through the same experience as Jen. I know how much this has helped Jen get through the treatment. I cant thank you enough.
Barnsley Hospice receive limited funding and rely on donations and sponsorship. So to give a little back I am going to run the London Marathon for both Jen and Barnsley Hospice.
Please dig deep and give some of your cash!
