As part of the 2010 Leicester Comedy Festival, Kate Owen will be the Festival's "Running Joke".
Kate is one of Leicester's slowest and fattest distance runners. She has, despite an indulgent lifestyle that would put legendary bon viveurs to shame, managed to complete any number of races, including half-marathons, consistently finishing at the back and having gone a funny colour. She even did a triathlon once, but the less said about
that the better.
Her aim, as the LCF's '10 Running Joke (do you see what we did there?), is to cover a double marathon distance (52.4 miles) over the course of the festival, visiting every venue during a show.
