Story
I've Done It!
Thanks everyone for all the very kind support, advices and encouragement. I've done it! In fact, I do believe that was one of the most meaningful 2 hours 8 minutes I have ever spent in my life! 13.2 miles was quite a long way for someone who normally wouldn't even bother walking, but it is your support that makes every step worthwhile. Thank you!
This fundraising page will stay active until 12 December 2008. So if any of you would still like to sponsor me online / offline, that would be highly welcome and appreciated!

Appeal: Help the Children Affected by the China Earthquake
My dear friends
I believe many of you have heard of the catastrophic earthquake that struck China on 12 May, 2008. The 8.0 magnitude tremor, which was focused in China’s Sichuan Province, had taken 69,000 vivid lives, and injured 374,000 people. Countless sweet homes were shattered and happy families were torn apart. 4.8 million people were homeless.
Please help the survivors and the people who lost their loved ones in this tragedy by making a donation. Every single pound could make a big difference. Every little bit of help would be wholeheartedly appreciated.
In order to raise more funds to help the China Earthquake, I will take part in the Swindon Half Marathon 2008 on Sunday 12 October, in support of the charity The Mothers' Bridge of Love (MBL). I genuinely hope that, from thousands of miles away, I could still do something for the people in my homeland.
May I ask you to kindly sponsor me and help the people affected by this disaster? You can donate to MBL from this page, or to any other charity of your choice (listed below).
Many thanks for your kindness and generosity.
Ning

You can help children like Li Yue to recover from the darkest memory, and continue pursuing their dreams.

About the Charity: Mothers’ Bridge of Love (MBL)
To help children and orphanages in the disaster area, MBL is making an urgent appeal to raise donation in support of the disaster relief efforts. Their focus will be helping children recover from physical (food, water, and medical care immediately) and physiological damage (Counseling in a later stage). The donation will be sent to the local schools and mothers and carers directly through their local advisory volunteers.

Hold on to Mum’s hand
In memory of the children lost in "512" Sichuan Earthquake
Honey, quick
Hold on to Mum’s hand.
It is too dark
On the road to heaven,
Mum is worried
That you’ll hurt your head.
Quick!
Hold on to Mum's hand.
Let me walk with you ahead.
Mum
I am scared.
It is so dark
On the road to heaven.
I can't see your hand.
Since
The collapsed walls
Took away the sunshine,
No longer can I see
Your loving eyes.
Honey
Walk the road
That you must take.
Where you will not be sad,
No countless books to read,
No more exams that never end.
But you must remember
What Mum and Dad look like.
So we can find each other, in another lifetime.
Mum
Don’t worry.
The road to heaven is crowded
With so many schoolmates and friends.
We say
No one cries.
Every Mum is our Mum,
We are all Mum’s children.
In the days ahead without me,
Pass on your love
To the children who survived.
Mum
Don't cry.
Tears won't light
Our path ahead.
So let us walk on
And find our own way.
Mum
I will always remember you and Dad,
Remember our promise.
We’ll find each other, in another lifetime.
