Hi and welcome to my Just Giving page.
This is my first foray into cyber sponsorship, so hope it works!
The 29th November is going to be a busy day for me and a profitable one, I hope, for Nelson's Journey.
Nelson's Journey is a Norfolk based charity that helps children deal with one of the most awful things that can happen during their formative years, losing a parent or other close person.
In the evening, we are putting on the inaugural Carols With The King at The Forum, Norwich. As well as Elvis' Christmas hits (performed by our band, The BlueSueders), music will come from The Stilhouettes and The Norwich School Choral Society. The audience will then join us for rousing carols. Stephen Bumfrey, Radio Norfolk star and Nelson's Journey patron will be compereing the evening. A very high quality raffle will take place in aid of Nelson's Journey, with prizes including beauty and other gift packages from Jarrolds, a photo shoot with Rob Ward Photography and a painting from renowned Norfolk artist, Tom Cringle.
That will be the easy part !
In the morning, I am running my first half marathon - in be-spangled jump suit, of course. This is my reason for this page and I hope you will be able to support me and Nelson's Journey. Whilst training is going well, I will be spurred on, I know, if there is a significant sum for the charity riding on my completion of the run.
That just leaves me to say - I hope to see you either in the morning (you won't be able to miss me, I'm guessing) or the evening - tickets available from Jarrolds - and . . . . thankyaverymuch !
