The run is completed and my fundraising target is smashed!  What can I say?!  You have all been so generous...with the gift aid on top, it's looking like we'll hit the £2,000 mark!  Thank you all so much.  It took me 68.37 minutes (a personal best, I'm pleased to report!)

So, once again, I've been roped into doing the Great Manchester Run!  How did that happen?!

This year, I'm trying to raise a few quid for a charity that is very important to my family.  My sister, Laura, has suffered from ME for over four years, and the impact it has had on her day-to-day life is enormous.  The illness is characterised by profound loss of muscle power, severe muscle pain, and physical and mental exhaustion.  Sufferers are often faced with a lack of understanding about the disease.  One of the most difficult things to deal with however, is the fact that there is no known cause, and no cure or effective treatment have yet been found.

I'd really appreciate any support that you can offer, however small, for this worthy cause.
