My story

Thanks for visiting my fund raising page.

I have the honour of being one of four players to have been selected by the Nottingham Rugby Academy to take part in the Balls to Poverty Charity Tour 2009 to South Africa.

I have been playing rugby since I was 7 years old and since then have represented Nottingham Academy, Midlands, Irish Exiles, the Three Counties (Nottingham, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire), Derby RFC Colts and Derby Grammar 1st XV. I have learnt a lot about discipline and team work from the sport.

The chance to share my passion for rugby with others has always appealed and I enjoy coaching the younger lads at my school. This tour is my chance to help other young people who have not had my opportunities in life and will enable me to give something back to the sport

So please sponsor me now!

Having been involved in the RFU's community projects before becoming a full-time rugby player I know the benefit rugby and sport can ahve on young people. Ryan by commiting to the project has shown he has the potential to become a young leader.
