The cause: tackling child hunger and orphans.
About 146 million children going hungry in a world where we produce more food than we can eat. That's almost the entire population of the UK, Canada and France combined. In developing countries such as Sudan, Bangladesh, Niger and Ethiopia, 1 in 4 children are malnourished and underweight. Most tragically, child hunger plays a role in five million preventable deaths every single year across all developing nations. In the time it took for you to read this paragraph a child died of hunger and in the next six seconds another child will.
From this event, the money will be used to feed malnourished children and orphans around the world.
