As our fundraising page comes to a close we have one last thing to say...
To everyone who supported us and helped us to raise such a fantastic amount for Macmillan Cancer Support - thank you. We couldn't have done it without you.
Lots of Love

WE DID IT!
On 23 February, we stood in Heathrow Terminal 2 with a group of 55 other people who had signed up to trek across theSahara. A little daunted, we were excited at what the challenge ahead may bring and we weren’t disappointed.
During the trip, we braved two and a half days of sandstorms, temperatures of over 45 degrees and climbed endless sand dunes before successfully reaching the top of Chegaga – a 300m high sand dune (pictured above). We walked 181,866 steps over the 6 days in the desert and even opted to do a ‘voluntary’ 10km on the final day so that we could see the sunrise, making our total distance walked an impressive 110km.
Whilst each day provided us with a different challenge to overcome, the experience we have had has been truly amazing and we shall treasure the memories of the trip for many years to come.
The trek was not about the experiencing the beauty of theSaharabut more importantly it was about raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support. As the Sahara Sisters, we are proud to have raised over £9100 (including Gift Aid) for this very worthy cause.
We are even more delighted that let you know that as a team, theSaharatrekkers have already raised over £139,000 and this is expected to increase further over the forthcoming weeks. This money will provide much needed funds to enable Macmillan nursing to continue their invaluable support to cancer sufferers and their families.
If you're viewing this website for the first time or have been meaning to sponsor us for a while do not fear, you can still donate online.
Every penny counts and really can make a huge difference.
Many thanks for all your support.
Love
Ali & Clare
