WOW what a couple of days! 65 Jumpers all down Safe and Well.!
Great atmosphere, courage, spirit from all the jumpers, their spectators, families and friends.
We had a few issues from the weather with jumping suspended for 4 hours on both days due to low cloud and high winds. On Monday we got the final plane load of 5 jumpers up at 7:30pm, they were in for a treat with a “sunset skydive” .
Great example of Sainsbury’s colleagues going that extra mile ( 2 ½ miles to be exact up in the sky 12,000ft up.) for others. – perhaps we can inspire others to get involved, Rainbows and other great charities need our help.! It is very rewarding.
A very special thank you to the team at Langar Skydive, they were brilliant!!
When it looked like the weather had beaten us they pulled out all the stops to make it happen, safely. – If you are thinking of doing a jump for your chosen Charity you could not pick a better place or team to do it with.. Well Done team Langar.!!
The Online Auction is still running for the rest of this week, still with some great lots and “money cant buy items!” - Go on treat yourself! And donate to a great cause in the process.
If you still want to support us please make a donation on line as we will continue collect through this week and into next…..
Why not check out some of the photo’s it was a great couple of days..
Many Thanks
“The Big Jump”

The region has 19 main supermarkets which you will find listed below.
We will be jumping over the August Bank Holiday at Langar,Nottinghamshire and currently have 68 Confirmed Jumpers. Look out for other fundraising activities in your local store in the run up to the Bank Holiday.
If you would like to make a donation please start your comments off with the store name first , we will track how each store is doing and give an award to the store who raises the most. Very soon in store you will see a poster with the names of the jumpers from your local store. Most stores have at least one volunteer and those that don’t are still committed to raising money for this fantastic cause.
Our Stores are at the heart of the communities they serve. For us this is not only about providing great service and quality products. It’s also about making a positive difference to our communities and being a good neighbour.
In addition to our region supporting Rainbows each store has just gone through a process of nominating an individual charity close to them, are customers and colleagues have voted and we have some great organisations to get behind over the coming year, for more information see the foyer of your own store or Customer Service Manager.
