Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are raising money for Help the Aged. We are moved to support this charity by the excellent research the charity does into Alzheimer’s and Dementia as well as the charity’s campaigns to combat isolation, neglect, loneliness and poverty amongst older people. To raise money we shall be trekking for 10 days (May 15-23), up and down many, many, many(!) uneven steps on the Great Wall of China, traversing mountains, valleys and deserts. It is going to be a challenge and a half - the Wall is only partially restored so it will be HIGH and have no sides is most places. We will be walking for 6 hours a day approximately and although we are sure it will be ultimately rewarding its going to be tough! Please help us by donating and/or coming to the many fundraising events we will be putting on to raise our sponsorship - we know times are tough but whatever you can afford will be so gratefully received!

We all know older people - grandparents, neighbours, family friends - and we would love to help them and support them should ever they need us to but sadly sometimes that is not enough or not possible. We are fundraising and trekking to honour our wonderful grandparents; Rashida, Ishrat and Pete. Please help us raise funds for this cause which is so close to our hearts, not just for our grandparents but for yours too. And our parents in the future. And you and I one day.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
