So please sponsor me now! This is me with my Dad at my wedding in 2005. He was so special to me and I still can't believe that he was taken from me by this horrible disease. He became unwell just before Christmas 2007, not eating very much and becoming lethargic. My Mum thought he just had a bout of flu. After becoming increasingly pale and not able to move the Doctor was called. He thought it was a tumour. My Dad went into hospital on the 23rd of January 2008 and was told on the 24th that he only had a few months to live. He died 3 weeks later. He died at home with my Mum holding his hand. My Dad was a great believer in living for the moment and living life to the full. He would not want me to be sad but it is very difficult sometimes. He was only 69. I want to do all I can to raise the awareness of Pancreatic Cancer. Maybe if it had been detected sooner he would have stood a better chance.
