Nationally, each branch of Samaritans is a self-supporting charity. Samaritans of Chelmsford and Mid Essex, works for the assistance of people who are suicidal, despairing or in distress by offering confidential contact by phone, e-mail or face-to-face. It is intended primarily for people living in Chelmsford, Mid Essex and the surrounding area.
