About the charity
Samaritans provides non-judgemental confidential emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair. Money is raised to support our telephone, face-to-face and email contact with people in emotional crisis, including those with suicidal thoughts. The branch currently has 51 active volunteers and answers over 15,000 calls annually.
