Story
I have decided to run my second ever half marathon.
First time was to just prove I could do it, this time it's to beat my original time (2hrs 30 mins) and to raise some money for a good cause at the same time.
As my holidays aren't really classified as a 'Good Cause' I've decided that any money I raise will go to MacMillan Nurses.
No personal reason - I am fortunate (so far) that neither I or anyone close to me has needed their support, but it just seems like a very worthwhile cause. I can't begin to imagine the impact of dying of cancer has on the sufferer or their friends and families, but I would believe that having professional caring help in the form of the Macmillian nurses must be of some comfort. That is why I have selected them as the charity to raise money for.
If you would like to support me in my 13.1 mile run around the 02 and surrounding area in Greenwich on 27th September, feel free to pop down and look out for me among the thousands of other runners.
If you would like to donate some money too, that would be much appreciated.
Wish me luck
Love Sam x
