Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Having recently completed the 2008 Beachy Head Marathon or endurance test as I would rather call it, I am now ready to take up the challenge of running the 2009 London Marathon – it should be a walk in the park afterBeachy Head!
I have chosen to run for the Kid’s Kidney Research. Those of you who know me well will know I have suffered from IgA Nephropathy, a progressive kidney disease, since the age of 16. My running has helped to keep my disease at bay and my blood pressure well controlled. However Kidney disease is debilitating at any time. When it involves babies and children, families suffer too. It can be devastating for everybody concerned.
Over 97% of all the money raised supports vital kidney research for babies and children across the UK . In fact, during 2006/2007 Kid’s Kidney Research costs amounted to under 1%! Good value to anyone donating to this charity as they are all volunteers. KKR need your financial support to fund vital kidney research.
Whilst the minimum I have to raise is £1250, I would really like to break the £2000 barrier. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Kid’s Kidney Research will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Thank you for all your support.
