Hi everyone,
Thanks for visiting my page! I'd just like to say what the National Children's Orchestra of Great Britain is, and why I'm fundraising for it.
NCO has five age-banded orchestras, for children between the ages of 7 and 13 years. It draws together each year almost 500 talented musicians, divided into the five age banded orchestras, from all over the UK. Their eldest group - the 'Main Orchestra' is one of the world's finest children's orchestras. The NCO gives talented children the chance to play in a full symphony orchestra.
More info can be found at www.nco.org.uk.
This year is the NCO's 30th anniversary, since starting in 1978. In celebration of the 30th year, NCO launched an appeal to raise as much money as they can to ensure that it keeps going.
This isn't the only reason I'm fundraising though. NCO is great fun whether it's playing in amazing concert halls or playing football in recreation (which led to the breaking of my wrist!!). I think it is a fantastic orchestra and want future people to be able to have the experiences I have had.
Please, dig deep, and I am happy for any fundraising ideas you have. (Email me on samlowell.pierce@googleail.com)
