Plymouth - Banjul Challenge · 2 October 2005

We work to end the exploitation of wild animals and create a future where people and wildlife live in harmony. Across the world, we protect, rescue and care for wild animals in need, while helping communities coexist peacefully with wildlife. Help us take action — and keep wildlife in the wild.

Story

Hello,

On 29th December 2005 Pete Sandford and Mark Eveleigh will leave Portsmouth in their 34 year-old VW Beetle to tackle the gruelling 6000km drive to Banjul, the capital of The Gambia.
On arrival, the car will be donated to the Challenge organisers to be sold by auction in aid of local charities.

Most teams will also be selecting their own charities to support and raise funds for. In our case, we have chosen the Born Free Foundation.
Any donations made via this page will be gratefully received. To read more about our adventure, please see the team's website at http://www.sandbug.co.uk Thank you. Pete & Mark
