Dear friends and colleagues,
As you may be aware, I will be working in Tanzania for six weeks on an international development project with an organisation called Equality for Growth.
Equality for Growth is a charity which has just been set up by a Tanzanian human rights lawyer and is supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. While at the dawn of its inception, the objective is to provide legal assistance to female entrepreneurs to assist them in their business endeavours (by seeking micro-finance, formation of local market traders association for women etc), and is the first of its kind in Tanzania. The charity is also aimed at trying to deal with issues of discrimination and violence which women in their local markets may encounter.
This pro-bono opportunity has been partnered by Advocates for International Development (A4ID). A4ID brings together those in the legal profession with organisations in developing countries to facilitate the utilisation of legal expertise so as to try to eradicate global poverty, discrimination, and to promote universal education, among other notable objectives.
To this end I would be very grateful if you would support me and make a donation to A4ID so that it can continue its good work. The money you donate will go directly to A4ID. In return for your generosity, I promise to send weekly updates (please opt out if you do not wish to receive such updates), and pictures (internet connection permitting) of the local scenery and the charity so you get a flavour of what I'm up to.

Thank you very much for your kind donation.
