We are hoping to install solar panels in the school, so that they can be independent from the utilities company and also to pay the orphanage's hospital bill. We're hoping to return next year so watch this space! ****
In 2008 Amanda worked at the Sanyu orphanage in . It is a home for babies and children up to the age of four. The children are often orphaned due to war, HIV and AIDS and poverty. With your support we can ensure that this wonderful charity continues to provide a loving home for them.
Amanda also visited a local school called The Jenny and Jessy school. In education is one way to escape the extreme poverty many children face. With your help we would be able to sponsor at least one child through secondary education. We would also like to provide valuable learning equipment such as books and stationary which would benefit the whole school.
Amanda and Helen are visiting both the orphanage and the school this October and would love to be able to take the news that we have reached our target. We hope to split the proceeds equally between the school and the orphanage.
