As many of you will know 6 years ago I was given the devastating and shocking news that I had invasive breast cancer!! I cannot put into words the feelings you go through and the effect it has not just on you but your whole family - having to tell my children that I had cancer was probably the single worst moment but I made them a promise that I wasn't going to die and after treatment and countless operations I am in a really good place!!  Raising awareness of any type of cancer is so important to me and I'm thrilled to be taking part in this event.  If it wasn't for the research that goes into developing treatments I'm not sure I'd be here so I want to raise as much as I can, I want to give something back and help others survive like I was lucky enough to.
