Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
It's now October, and I did it!! I ran the Royal Parks Half Marathon, in London, on a cloudy autumn morning, wearing as much P&P garb as I could (though I lost a few stickers along the way. Who would've thought they wouldn't hold up to a little sweating?). It was the first run I'd done in more than a month, since I introduced my knee to a particularly hard asphalted road, in a rather spectacular manner too, which left me hardly able to hobble, let alone run! But, the knee was perfectly happy to run 13.1 miles, and didn't really starting giving me trouble till the jelly-legs hit me after I crossed the finish line.
I'm still continuing my fundraising efforts, as I'm raising funds for People & Planet, the student campaigning network that I've been a part of at Loughborough since 2007. P&P enable young people to speak up about and act on the issues that concern them, and independent funds are crucial in allowing students to choose freely what campaigns to work on.
Please give as much as you can. Every penny will help P&P and keep me happy in the realisation that the 13.1 painful (no, it wasn't just a walk in the park) miles were worth it! Your help is much appreciated!
