Flora London Marathon 2007 · 22 April 2007 ·

On 1st April 2007 the Epilepsy Research Foundation and the Fund for Epilepsy merged to form Epilepsy Research UK. Epilepsy Research UK is only national charity solely dedicated to epilepsy research. Our aim is to substantially increase the funding available for research into the treatment and prevention of this debilitating condition.

Story

I am running the Flora 2007 London Marathon on 22nd April to raise money for Epilepsy Research UK. My little brother, Chris is 17 and suffers from epilepsy. Like many other epileptics, despite daily medication, Christopher still has seizures.

1 in every 131 people in the UK are currently diagnosed with epilepsy and it is the second most common neurological condition after migraine. Epilepsy Research UK raises funds to support valuable research into the causes and cures for epilepsy which improves the lives of epilepsy sufferers like my brother and their families.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Epilepsy Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Thank you for visiting my site, please give generously!

Many thanks for your support! Sarah xxx
