Hi Everyone In the first week of November this year I will be part of a group of people walking from the Dead Sea to the Red Sea in Israel to raise money for The Joshua Foundation. That's 100 miles at 25 miles per day! Reasons to Sponsor Me: 1.I am usually very lazy and only walk to the pub, or maybe Topshop... 2.So this will involve a big effort in terms of fitness and willpower... 3. It's for a really good cause: The Joshua Foundation was set up ten years ago, by Sarah Cornelius from my home town of Caerphilly, after she lost her seven-year-old son Joshua to abdominal cancer. The charity provides holidays and experiences for children with terminal cancer and their families- from a family seaside holiday, to Christmas trips to Lapland or sightseeing days in London. Many wouldn't otherwise be able to afford such trips as often one or both parents often have to give up work to care for and support their child who has cancer.
These holidays and experiences give families fun and quality time together - when there might not be much time left. It would be great if you could sponsor me for this challenge. Any amount however small will help me to reach my fundraising target and it will make a difference to the lives of children with cancer and their families. Just Giving is the fastest way to sponsor and also adds Gift Aid if you're a UK taxpayer. Thanks very much, Sarah x
