Mark and James are doing the Mourne Mountain Marathon on the 18th of September to raise money for Fanconi Hope. As many of you are aware, our daughter has Fanconi Anaemia and recently, most days are as challenging as climbing a mountain for her. She's learning to walk all over again after huge surgery and has a bone marrow transplant ahead of her in the near future. There is no cure for Fanconi Anaemia, which can include several skeletal abnormalities, leads to bone marrow failure with a high risk of leukaemia, and involves cancers ( most commonly of the head and beck), in the second decade of life. Fanconi Hope are stepping up to the mark and are presently funding much needed research and keeping Fanconi Anaemia at the attention of research scientists. We all hope and pray that one day there is a cure for this cruel condition. Thank you James and Mark for raising awareness and much needed funds.
