IT IS WITH GREAT SADNESS THAT I HAVE TO TELL EVERYONE THAT THE RACE TO SAVE ROPAFADZO'S LIFE ENDED LAST NIGHT, WEDNESDAY 18TH JUNE 2008. WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE THIS TERRIBLE LOSS. ANY SURPLUS FUNDS WILL BE USED TO ASSIST CHILDREN LIKE FADZO. YOU CAN STILL DONATE IN MEMORY OF HER WONDERFUL LIFE. Things are tough in Zimbabwe at the moment. Life is full of many challenges, so you can imagine the struggle that Ropafadzo is having at the tender age of 10. Only a few weeks ago she was diagnosed with Aplastic Anaemia, a rare and serious blood disorder in which bone marrow stops making enough new blood cells. There are no facilities in Zimbabwe that can help Ropafadzo with the specialist care and medicins that she requires. Without them she will die. At the moment she is in acute pain and becoming weaker and weaker and has a high fever. She requires regular blood transfusions and facing a bone marrow transplant. Time is of the essence. The cost of this treatement would be difficult for anyone to manage, but you can imagine the impossible mountain that is faced by Ropafado's family in trying to raise the necessary funds to get the treatment that she so urgently needs. The family have already sold so many personal items to try and raise the funds. Please help in any way you can towards this large fundraising appeal. Donations can also be sent by post, making cheques payable to: "Hope for Children(RB)", to: Hope for Children, Freepost SCE 12743, Hemel Hempstead HP1 2BR. I will personally make sure that the funds are used correctly. Please pray for Ropafadzo With thanks Simon Jackman, Chief Executive, HOPE
