Established in Norwich for 27 years and one of only two dedicated venues to Puppetry and Theatre of Animation in the entire country, its continuation plays a vital cultural role for both the local community and the art form as a whole.

Why it's so unique...

It produces internationally-acclaimed performances for adults, families and children.

Its workshops provide an important role in expressing creativity for a wide variety of groups in the community. These include schools, clubs, and societies as well as those with disabilities, the underprivileged or otherwise at risk from exclusion.

Its City & Guilds, adult education course in puppet making is the only one in the country.

It hosts performances from visiting companies from all over the world, an annual festival, (The Norwich International Festival of Puppet Theatre), as well as accommodating many other theatre and music groups.

Norwich Puppet Theatre is often the first place many children in Norfolk experience the excitement and magic of the theatre arts.
