Hi guys. Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. On the 20th June this year I will be attempting to complete The Lakes Biggest and Longest Challenge, in aid of Children with Cancer UK. The challenge briefly consists of..........

33km canoeing..............      ( I've not picked up a paddle in 20 years )

21km cycling........................( I last rode a bike aged 10)

17km mountaineering........( I am ok with this bit)

71km in total.................Apparently this can be done in 24 hours!!!!!

I have chosen Children with Cancer UK to raise funds for, Here is why.....

Every year in the UK 3600 children are diagnosed with cancer. That is 10 a day! Hearing this devastating news is an unimaginable horror for the parents as well as the child. Thanks to charities like this one, 75% of patients can be treated successfully, increasing survival dramatically. As a parent myself, it is comforting to know that there is help and support available if you are ever faced with this horrible disease.

I am aiming to raise a minimum of £500. Please find it in your hearts to get behind this amazing charity, and donate whatever you can.This  is a paid group event with qualified instructors. Therefore not all of the £500 would normally go to the charity. However, if I reach my target , I will personally donate the cost of the challenge, so that the charity gets every penny. I have some fantastic friends in life(and on social media) I am sure you will all support me on this :)
