Story

Second Skin Events loves having the opportunity to support great causes and charities who are doing such fantastic work each and every day.

Melanoma UK has touched the lives of many by providing a personal support network that we hope the majority of you never need. But for those who do it's invaluable.

Our aim is to help them to reach a milestone goal and help to fund much needed Melanoma Nurses in and around Merseyside so that this fantastic network of support continues.

The Pirate Walk will take place each and every year on the 3rd Saturday in July. 2015 falls on Saturday 18th. We set off at 10:00 on an 8 mile straight through part of the Wirral Walk. Starting at Hoylake Life boat station and the drift wood boat anchored next to it (The  Grace Darling) traveling to New Brighton direct to it's infamous Black Pearl a ship that needs no introductions.

If you cannot make the walk you are most welcome to donate and join the welcoming committee at the finish line.

About the charity

Melanoma UK was set up in 2007 in memory of Jon Herron. We support patients and families affected by melanoma (skin cancer) and funds raised help to provide that support. We are funding much needed melanoma nurses along with help in vital research. Melanoma is a cruel disease, still without a cure.
