Monday 26th April.
After 5 months of training I finally ran the London Marathon yesterday in a time of 3hrs 49mins 50sec. It was a fantastic day and the crowds were amazing. It made all the sacrifices and training worth while.
Thank you to everyone for your support, encouragement and sponsorship over the last 6 months.
Very Best,
Simon
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Against my better judgment I'll be running the London Marathon on April 25th. The Charity I've chosen to raise money for is RAFT. I know that this is a busy time of year for donations, but I'd really appreciate your support! - Anyone who does want to sponsor me but prefers an old fashioned sponsor form - let me know and I'lI bring one round.
Running the marathon seemed like a good idea 6 months ago LOL. My weekly mileage peaked three weeks ago at 54 miles, included a 20 mile run on bank holiday Monday, which I completed in 3hrs.
RAFT stands for the Restoration of Appearance and Function Trust. It is an independent charity working to prevent and improve the treatment of major traumas such as burns, wounds and cancers of the skin through advances in medical research and in reconstructive plastic surgery.
RAFT is mainly funded by charitable donations. In order to continue their vital work, they rely on support and help from people like you.
Thanks for your support!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
