Thank you for visiting this site. I am Shaun Patton, I am aged 28 and live in lincolnshire. I am a care assistant for North Lincolnshire council. I am running the Flora London Marathon on the 26th April 2009 and I am hoping to raise £2,000 which will be donated to the stroke association charity: Stroke Association – Every year, an estimated 150,000 people in the UK have a stroke. Most people affected are over 65, but anyone can have a stroke, including children and even babies.
A stroke is the third most common cause of death in the UK. It is also a leading cause of severe adult disability. More than 250,000 people live with disabilities caused by stroke.
It could happen to you, or someone you care for. If it does, you'll want to know as much as you can about strokes.
I am aimining to raise money for more research into what causes them, the effects that they can have, how they can be prevented and how they are treated. www.stroke.org.uk – Every year, an estimated 150,000 people in the UK have a stroke. I want to raise as much money as I can to try and prevent this from happening to others. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Stroke Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now! Your support is very much appreciated. Shaun Patton
