Connect - the Communication Disability Network
Connect is a national charity. Our vision is a world where people with aphasia and communication disability find opportunity and fulfilment. We work with people with aphasia to promote effective services, new opportunities and a better quality of life for people living with aphasia.
Aphasia is a communication disability which is usually caused by stroke but it can also arise from head injury and tumour. People with aphasia find it hard to speak, write, understand language and use numbers. One in every 200 people in the UK has aphasia.
