My story

STOP PRESS: We did it.  69 miles actually in 28 hours (24 hours walking). More detail, close-ups of blisters etc soon...thanks for your generosity...

We're going to walk 60 miles to Lindisfarne
in 30 hours

Probably without sleeping.  We can't tell you just how big a physical and mental challenge this is going to be for us.

But its our choice.  And we won't die.  Christian Aid help those who for whom just surviving each day is a challenge that they have not chosen.

Please be generous.

We'll be walking on 12th and 13th September 2009.  Details of the event are here

http://tinyurl.com/m6shgc   (but note that we're going to unofficially attempt the full 60miles, not just the last 26miles which is now the official event.)

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Christian Aid gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks.

Walkers:  Andy, Pete and Steve
Support Team:  Jess, John and Brian

Poverty is an outrage against humanity. It robs people of dignity, freedom and hope, of power over their own lives. Christian Aid has a vision - an end to poverty - and we believe that vision can become a reality.
