I did it! 6048 out of 12,000 runners and the time, although not as fast as I would have liked was 1 hr 14 mins 30 secs!!!! Thanks to all of you who donated and we couldn't have been any closer with the target! I will be doing it all again next year, here's to the Party for Parkinson's in July. I am a very happy bunny today Why am I doing this at my age? Because my partner of 25 years has been diagnosed recently with Parkinson's Disease and you never know what is around the corner. My pledge to J, my partner - to lose 2st 6lbs so that I can do the full run without breaking my knees! and to do as much fundraising as I possibly can starting with the 10k Jane Tomlinson's Run for All race. So, now you know my pledge, all I need to know now is what your pledge is. Training is going well (phew!) and I have (lost 1st 4lb, now 1st 6lbs, now 1st 6 and a half lbs, 1st 7 and a half lbs, 1st 10lbs, 1st 11 and a half lbs, 1st 13 lbs ) now 2st 2lbs as of writing. If you are passing through our area you will see me on Saturday mornings jogging/running/walking my usual six and a half miles listening to Sounds of the Sixties on my radio. I am working so hard and shedding the weight. Why don't you match me pound for pound and give your credit card a good work out by sponsoring me online. Parkinson's Disease Society (which is entirely self-funding BTW!!) will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. Oh what the hell just give me the money! Thank you, muchos gracias, merci, danke ad infinitum. Shelley
