Back in February 2008 I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. I was admitted to St Bartholemews Hospital London and during the following 3 months I received 4 cycles of chemotherapy which was tough, not only for me, but my family and friends too. But this ordeal was made easier by the sterling efforts of all the staff at the hospital. Thankfully I am in remission now and back to full health.

One afternoon whilst in hospital I was flipping through a copy of the Barts and The London charity magazine and came across an article about this cycle ride, and thought 'I'm gonna do that when I get outta here!' So on June 3rd 2009 I will leave London for Paris.
