My story

FAQ 1: When did you say you were doing this cycling thing?

Just a reminder that in February 2010 (only 4 months away...) I will participate in an exciting but challenging charity bike ride through two of SE Asia's most intriguing countries – Vietnam and Cambodia – for MAG*!

FAQ 2: You're cycling HOW far?!!

Starting in Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) I will cycle the breathtaking 470 km to Cambodia's Angkor Wat. With just 5 days in which to complete the trip it'll be a tough few days, especially as it'll be extremely hot & humid – not ideal cycling conditions! Still all the sweat and tears will be worth it if even just a few people's lives are saved and changed.

FAQ 3: And how much is this gonna cost your friends and family

The biggest challenge is however raising the GBP 2,950 for MAG. This I can't do alone and so I desperately need everyone's help! So please, please, please dig deeeeeepppppp into your pockets and sponsor me whatever you can afford. Every little helps!

FAQ 4: Ok ok, so how do I donate?

You can donate on line via my page www.justgiving.com/shimaheydari

FAQ 5: Are you happy now?

I'm SOOOO grateful to you all for your help and support in getting me on my bike (again) for MAG...

Thank you very much for all your support!

Shima

*In recent decades MAG has been doing tremendous work worldwide to help those living in current and previous war zones. In Vietnam and Cambodia MAG has been clearing away thousands of land mines which daily endanger the lives of men, women and children. MAG also plays a key role in creating social and economic opportunities (eg education, safe access to agricultural lands, schools, wells, health clinics and other community resources, etc) so that local communities have a chance at a decent future. Please see: www.maginternational.org for extra information!
