The Yasisni family with Suzen Orphan Care Support Director
The Yasini family is one of the 5 child headed families supported by Shine Relief. After loosing both Mum and Dad when the youngest was still a baby this little family has faced many trials. With only a distant Aunt who is HIV positive overseeing the family the children became extremly vulnerable. Over the past 12 months Shine has visited the family twice a week bringing food supplies, giving health checks and most importantly providing the love and support they desperately missed. Six months ago the youngest son Wonderful nearly died of Malaria. The Shine team acted quickly providing for his treatment. One month later he was back home to receive his first mattress and a new blanket provided through a fundraising event in the UK. His older brother said the family no longer felt hopeless.
